MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION FOR THE 2026 SEASON:

In order to participate in the Rutgers Pep Bands, students must:
- Attend 3 of the 4 mandatory Volleyball Pep Band performances (at Jersey Mike's Arena, Livingston Campus):
  - Rutgers VB vs. Minnesota, Friday, October 9th, 7pm (report time, 5:45pm)
  - Rutgers VB vs. Michigan State, Friday, October 23rd, 7pm (report time, 5:45pm)
  - Rutgers VB vs. USC, Saturday, November 7th, 1pm (report time, 11:45pm)
  - Rutgers VB vs. Wisconsin, Thursday, November 12th, 6pm (report time, 4:45pm)

- Attend 2 out of the 3 mandatory Pep Band rehearsals prior to the start of basketball season (at Lucy Stone Hall Auditorium, Livingston Campus). Dates and times are listed below:
  - Friday, October 9th, 5:40-8pm
  - Friday, October 16th, 5:40-8pm

- Register for the Pep Band Course during the spring semester for 1 credit (07:701:338)*
- Have experience performing in a large wind ensemble of high school level or higher
- Be in good standing with the RU Bands program AND your program of study both academically and behaviorally, including attending the mandatory required numbers of games/performances for pep band (this number will be set at the beginning of each season, as each season schedule has a slightly different number of games/performances set by RU Athletics and the B1G Conference)
- Read, sign, and return the last page of the RU Pep Band Contract to Mona Garbely (via email) prior to the first pep band rehearsal

*Students who graduate in the fall semester but want to continue to perform with the Pep Band during the spring semester can do so after filling out the VOLUNTEER WAIVER FORM, attaching a current form of insurance, and emailing both documents to Mona Garbely. Non-RU students/graduated RU students unfortunately do not qualify for travel.

*Students who attend a New Jersey institution of higher education that does not have an athletic band program may also volunteer to join the Rutgers Pep Bands and can do so after filling out the VOLUNTEER WAIVER FORM, attaching a current form of insurance, and emailing both documents to Dr. Baumanis.
